All visitors are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled visitation times to check in at the front desk. There is a limit of 4 visitors as designated by the patient. 2 visitors will visit a patient at a time. For reasons of safety visitation is limited to persons age 12 and older.

The visitation right may be restricted based on infringement of others rights, safety, or is medically or therapeutically contraindicated.

Please do not make incoming calls to Adult patients, as they will be able to make 2 personal calls during designated times.
•
To help assure a safe environment for treatment, no food or contraband are allowed in the hospital setting. Cell phones and cameras are not allowed due to patient confidentiality.
•
Visitors are asked to leave all personal items in their vehicle. Purses, billfolds, pocket knives, cigarettes, lighters, keys, flowers, candy, and stuffed animals are not allowed.

At Rolling Hills Hospital, we have a responsibility to provide a safe environment. Therefore, there are certain items that cannot be allowed on the inpatient units; we ask that you leave these items at home. There are items we encourage our patients to bring to promote a more comfortable stay. Lists of both acceptable and unacceptable items are below. As with all elements of your stay, Rolling Hills Hospital staff is available to assist you with this process. If there are items you are unsure of, a staff member will let you know whether or not it is an acceptable item.
Encouraged Items *
No items should contain string or rope like materials.
•
Comfortable clothes, ex. sweat shirt / pants (pack for a 3 day stay, washer / dryer available)
•
Night clothes
•
Comfortable slippers or shoes (preferably slip-on)
•
A journal (no metal rings please), books or magazines
•
Personal hygiene items, ex. toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, comb
•
Safe Items that will provide you comfort, ex. picture of a loved one (no glass or frame)
•
Insurance Card, Drivers License or proof of identification, and Social Security Card
Unacceptable Items *
These items will not be accepted and are encouraged to be left at home. If any of these items are brought to the hospital, they will be removed and placed in a secure area until patient is discharged. This list includes, but is not limited to:

Shoes with shoe laces
•
Belts
•
Spiked heels or boots (steel toe, metal tips etc.)
•
Needles or pins
•
Aerosol spray cans
•
Hair dryers & curling Irons
•
Laptops / computer equipment
•
Radios / CD / DVD / MP3 Players
•
Tape recorders / cameras
•
Jewelry is encouraged to be left at home
•
Body piercings need to be taken out
•
Knives, fingernail files, nail clippers, scissors
or strait edge razors (any items with sharp points)
•
Musical Instruments
•
Alcohol based cleaners (mouthwash, astringent)
•
Make-up in glass containers
•
Cigarettes, cigars and lighters / matches
•
Drug paraphernalia
•
Money
•
Cell phone
•
Car keys
•
Firearms and / or ammunition
•
Blankets / pillows / stuffed animals
•
Any Electrical equipment with a cord

Glass objects, such as mirrors, glass bottles
& vases (eye glasses are OK)
